My Kids

Haeley is 14.  She is in 8th grade this year.  She is an amazing, beautiful young lady.  She has her moments of pure attitude, but I’m prayerful (not realistic though) those will pass soon.  She has an incredible love for the written word.  She doesn’t like to just read, but she likes to write short stories and they are pretty entertaining.  She has a way with words.  She is our oldest and bears the burden of “extra” responsibility.  She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was 5 and I have had the wonderful privilege of watching her mature and grow in her walk with the Lord.  She has done amazing in Bible Drill and it brings me great joy to see her hide God’s word in her heart.  I love you Haeley!!!
Jasmine is 13 and she too is in 8th grade this year.  She and Haeley are 13 1/2 months apart and best friends.  Jas too is battling Haeley on the attitude---they are competing for the title of Ms. Attitude.  :)  Much to Jasmine’s dismay, she is growing into a beautiful young lady.  She hates when we tell her she’s pretty or looks nice.  I have to tell her daily to brush her hair because she will go for days without doing it and then complain because it hurts to brush it.  Jas has an amazing love for the written word.  She loves to draw and has this intense love for animals.  She misses catching frogs on a daily basis and with the help of her siblings had made habitats of sorts for these frogs.  Jas too was 5 when she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.  I’m so proud of her for Bible Drill work too.  Such a joy to see my kids hiding scripture in their hearts!  Love you Jasmine!
Gabe (Bubba) is 11.  He is our blonde hair, blued eyed kid.  He is all boy and has entered into the techie generation more than I would like.  He would rather be inside playing Xbox, a DS, or his little brother’s Leapster than be outside playing.  I have to make him go outside and get some fresh air.  He enjoys reading, but struggles with it a bit and lacks confidence.  Gabe really loves building with Legos and making all sorts of different creations.  He is our oldest boy and truly a miracle and gift from God.  Gabe had a rough start but has proven over and over again how strong he is.  Gabe was 4 when he accepted Christ, but came to a stronger saving knowledge of him when he was 8.  He is in the 5th grade this year.  I love you Gabriel!
Justin (J.T.) is 8 years old and is in 2nd grade this year!  I can’t believe he is already in 2nd grade, but it’s true.  Justin is my child that has tested my unconditional love.  He pushes the envelope and has a hot temper.  But, he is also the sweetest, most genuine, caring little boy.  He doesn’t understand the impact of words.  Even with all of his difficult moments, his smile still melts my heart.  He is a funny kid that loves to make everyone laugh.  He has really stinky feet.  We tell him they smell like pickles.  He loves hunting frogs with his sisters and playing with Legos, Playmobil, Xbox...you name it.  He complains often of being bored and I know it’s because he thrives on a schedule and will be tickled when school starts and he knows what to expect on a daily basis.  I love you J.T.
Benjamin (Boo) is my baby---but not so much of a baby anymore.  He is 6 and is in 1st grade.  Boo is taking after Bubba in his “techie-ness”.  He prefers being inside and playing any type of electronic.  He doesn’t put up much of a fight anymore when I do make him go outside though.  Boo has such a sweet and tender heart.  The smallest things upset him---sometimes it does get extremely frustrating.  ;-)  He loves his Playmobil, Legos, and CARS.  He loves declaring “ENEMY FIGHT!!!!!” when his Daddy comes home and then attacking Daddy.  :)  He is all boy and then some!  He just got his first Build a Bear and loves his “Bat Bear”.  Boo has a crazy imagination that has led to his imaginary friend that gets blamed for quite a bit.  He’s my baby...‘nuff said.  :)  Love you Boo Bear!
